When I saw that I had to create a symbol that represents me, I was stumped. I have never thought of myself representing a shape, color, or even a texture. After sitting down and letting my ideas flow as I drew, I created something that I thought best represented me.

When you first look at my symbol, you may think it is very colorful or that it even looks like a flower of some sort. There is a magenta and pink colored object that looks like a rose in the middle of my symbol. While I intended not to draw a rose, it appears like it, which to me symbolizes peace and gratitude. I would describe myself as a person who prefers peace and joy over chaos and chose the colors pink and purple because they remind me of my friends and family. To me, pink symbolizes kindness and love, while purple symbolizes wisdom and devotion. I use these colors to describe the relationship that I have with my friends and family because they help make me happy and contribute to my feeling of worth.

Outside the rose-looking object contains lines with circles in them. Initially, I didn't know how this would describe me as a person, but after some thought, I realized that this could represent my curiousness and attentiveness. I feel this way because the circles look like eyes and remind me that I am curious and pay close attention to detail in almost every aspect of my life. Within the lines and circles are the colors blue, green, and dark purple. For some reason, these colors are calming to me and symbolize a sense of serenity. I would say this color combo appeals to me because they go together so nicely. To me, blue describes me because it represents inspiration and trust. I easily get inspired, and from my inspiration, I am motivated to do good things. For the dark purple color, I chose this because it represents ambition and power. I thought this was an accurate representation of me because I am ambitious and use my curiosity to explore new things. Finally, I used green to describe that I am hopeful. Instead of always seeing the bad, I am the type of person who likes to see the good first and likes to create a healthy environment around me.

In the next layer of the object that I created, some circles have lines connected to them and stripes. The circles with the lines attached to them represent that I am a logical thinker because they are interconnected. This means that I like to observe and analyze as well as make my ideas clear. This represents me well because I like to keep my thoughts organized and develop a solution whenever there is a problem. Next to the sections of "logic" are stripes in the colors yellow and orange. At first, I wasn't sure why I filled the space up with stripes, but then I realized that they symbolized a bridge after looking at them. By this, I mean that while I am a logical thinker, I can also be creative and think outside of the box. I used the colors yellow and orange because, to me, they represent balance and enthusiasm. These two characteristics are essential to me because they help keep me motivated to start each day with a positive mindset and outlook.

Finally, outside the stripes and connected circles appear to be what looks like flames and tiny bubbles. These are separated by a layer between the lines and logical circles. This is because my curiosity, attentiveness, logic, and creative thinking internally make me myself. However, on the outside, I view myself as someone who is somewhat confident and thoughtful. To me, the red and orange "pointy-looking things" look like flames. These flames represent that I am passionate and full of energy. I would overall describe myself as someone who pours their heart out in anything they do. I chose the colors red and orange because they are exciting and refreshing. They represent adventure and courage. Alongside the flames are tiny pink swirls. These represent thought bubbles because I would describe myself as an overthinker and as someone who thinks a lot about other people. I chose the color pink because it conveys that my thoughts come from sweetness and love for other people.

All in all, I created a shape that represents who I am as a person. While this was a difficult task, my ideas flowed naturally and allowed me to think about each layer that I created on my drawing. In the end, I think my picture is unique to me and represents the shapes that make Alex, Alex.
